Margaret Ann

My mother's mother, Margaret Ann, has been in a pickle lately. In December she suffered through back surgery at the age of 75, and recently she fell due to some complications with vertigo. It was a rough few weeks, but all seems to be getting better. She's currently in a rehabilitation center in Hartsville tirelessly working on her physical therapy and trying to regain strength.
Last weekend Ammie and I went to wish her a Happy Valentine's Day and try to lift her spirits (of course Ammie teared up as soon as we walked in the door). Watching our grandmothers age is something we aren't quite ready for. They have to be there for our weddings and help us through our pregnancies. They have to tell our children stories of us and our parents growing up. They have to spoil them rotten. They have to be there!
For those of you who know my "Moma" you understand that she's a pistol....sweet, but sassy....smart, but VERY stubborn. Moma is a part of me and who I am today. As a child, there was no place I'd rather be than her home. I adore her. She is a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She told me today she hopes to go home next week. She's been working hard and is ready to bounce back, like she always does. Congratulations Moma....feel better!
