A Lovely Valentine's Day

I'm not a huge fan of Valentine's Day, but I was determined to make the best of it this year! Brad and I grabbed a quick lunch in Marion Square while taking a stroll around the wildlife expo. After I scarfed down a hot dog and Brad a burger, we were both craving something sweet.....

No place better than Cupcake in downtown Charleston! We split a chocolate cupcake with vanilla icing and sprinkles and hurried off to...

Charleston Music Hall to see RENT, one of my favorite Broadway plays. I had seen the play before, but it was Brad's first time. We had seats in the SECOND row. It was amazing to be so close to the performers and the show was phenomenal (minus the chick behind us who not only talked, hooted and hollered, loudly sang along, but also filmed the entire play on her beeping camera). Needless to say, it was a great show!

After the show we took another stroll around Marion Square to see the animals. Brad was in awe watching all of the dogs in the park. We ended the day with a nice dinner at Red Drum in Mt. Pleasant! I ordered the fish and Brad the quail....all was delicious, and I swear they have the best wine in town.

I hope every one's Valentine's Day was as special as ours! Now on to a week of midterms, interviews and papers!
