Quarter of a Century

Last weekend we celebrated Brad's 25th Birthday. 25. Wow, that sounds so strange. Old and strange. Don't you hate when people say "Well that's a quarter of a century" or "It's all downhere from there." I remember thinking as a child that I would have the Game of Life figured out by now. Literally. I would have the little white station wagon with the blue stick man in the driver's seat and would have chosen the beautiful colonial home (I always cheated so I wouldn't get the earthquake damaged Split Level). I would most definitely have the 6 figure salary. I also would have a baby blue and baby pink stick figures in tow in the backseat. Sure, by the age of 25 I would have it all.

Life, in most cases, doesn't turn out that way. But thank goodness it doesn't. What's the fun in that?

But I digress- Brad and I celebrated this birthday at Carowinds in Charlotte. We rode the tallest/fastest/longest rollercoasters, ate lots of food and got soaked in a large rainstorm.

Clearly, a picture before the rides.

Brad's wonderful family hosted a birthday party in Greenville on Sunday.
Complete with coconut cake and homemade chocolate ice cream :)

25 Candles. It's not so bad, right?

Happy Birthday Brad!
