Cosby Sweaters, Candy Canes and Donut Reindeer

My good friends Angie and Brady had everyone over for a Christmas brunch on Saturday. This fabulous brunch included tacky sweaters, a white elephant gift exchange and ornament decoration.

I found these precious donuts on pinterest and had to bring them to the brunch. So simple- buy a package of chocolate sweet sixteen donuts, a package of peanut m&ms, a small tube of white icing and a bag of pretzels.
Dab a little icing in the donut hole and secure m&m. And then all that's left to do is create the eyes with remainder of the icing and create the antlers with pretzel pieces. So cute!

The happy family gathered around the tree.
Brady's suspenders were my favorite!

Turkey Trotting

Gosh, am I ever thankful for a delightful Thanksgiving break. Here's a quick rundown of our holiday activities:
I had the day off on Wednesday. That would have been awesome morning had I not woken up to a dead/no good blackberry. Lost all of my contacts-everything. So, send me your number!
Moving on, Ammie and I stopped by THE Christmas store in Charleston on our way out of town. If you live here, you know to which I am referring. We had a gorgeous bow made for mom's tree. And I mean freaking gorgeous.
Wednesday evening we  participated in Macsgiving activities. Duh. However, we made need to change the name to J. Gobble Gobble because I didn't leave J. Michael's.

My crazy fun friends.

Now here is the kicker. Ready for it? Ammie and I ran the Hartsville Turkey Trot 5K Thanksgiving morning. After Macsgiving! And finished in 38 minutes. DO NOT LAUGH. For a non-runner, I was proud. Unfortunately, I left my camera...but I swear it happened.
Afterward, we had a lovely Thanksgiving with the family.
Black Friday in Charlotte with Mom was equally lovely.
And then my Tiger boyfriend showed up. We attended the Carolina/Clemson game on Saturday.
This was the outcome :)
He still loves me. Maybe.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.
I know this for certain- the Gamecock fans are still strutting! And boy do we deserve it!
Happy Holidays Y'all!

South Carolina State Fair

After the wedding last weekend, Brad and I decided to spend Sunday in Columbia at the fair! I've attended almost every year since I was a little girl. I have wonderful memories of Momma and Daddy taking us girls after Carolina games. We had free reign to ride and eat whatever our little hearts desired. This was only Brad's second visit. It's always fun to watch him look around in amazement.
We rolled in about 1:00pm and went straight to the food, settling on Brad's fav- corn dogs. And then ice cream -with sprinkles. I refrained from devouring my favorite- heavily powdered sugared elephant ears. Probably because Brad's look of disgust at the mention of fried dough. We also refrained from the fried snickers/oreos/butter. I just can't imagine...
We stopped in to take a look at the State House sandcastle.
And ribbon winning roses. We also watch a piglet race and strolled through the farm animal shed.
And then decided to ride just one ride- the ferris wheel. This is the view of Williams-Brice in all its glory.
Another fun filled trip to the fair. Especially with this clown! If only I convert his orange blood....

Lately

This weekend Ammie and I traveled back to Columbia. 4th time in 4 weeks...that's got to be a record. Ammie met Brittany and I met Brad and we headed to Carolina Ale House to watch the Miss State- Carolina game.

We met up with our buddy, Charlie, who was able to shelve the law school books for a couple of hours to watch the game. Brad is in his orange, of course.
Later that evening Brad and I atteded Telissa and Jay's wedding at the Botanical Gardens.

A beautiful ceremony and party with old friends. I hate I didn't get more pictures!

It doesn't get much better than that!

The Life of a Football Fan

Snapshots of our weekend routine. Go Gamecocks!

Why do I Love Charleston?

...because on Friday nights you can sit on the patio of the oldest structure in Charleston sipping wine with your girlfriends and enjoying the finest art the city has to offer.

Tigers and Bulldogs

Graduation-one of the best reasons to celebrate.

And celebrate we did.

Congratulations on Graduate School Graduation, Meredith!

She's now a tiger AND a bulldog!

Two of the ugliest mascots around, but I'm oh so proud!
